Cape Conran Trip

OH HEY!

As part of one of my subjects for my undergrad, I went on a four day fieldwork camp out to Cape Conran Costal Park. It is absolutely gorgeous out there.

But! We weren't there for the scenery. We spent the four days using things called Elliot and Cage Traps to trap and proccess mini native mammals! We learnt how to catch, bag, handle and release animals called Antechinus (which are uuubbbeerrr cute ^.^), Bush and Swamp Rats (also rather cute but dear god could they bite o_o), Bandicoots and Potoroos.

I also got to microchip a Eastern Brown Bandicoot! Pretty damn cool, but i felt rather evil doing it....sorry Miss Bandicoot!
We also went GPSing, Radio Tracking (me and my partener got ohhh sooo lost), bird and whale watching, Hair Tubing with people from DSE and a whooollleeee lot more trapping!

It was also one of my mates Zach's 20th Birthday on camp, so in true class, we brought a cake and some booze and had a crazy ass night!

 

 

 The cabins we stayed in were pretty funky aswell!

But by the end of the four days, I will not lie i was absolutely buggered! Absolutely amazing, once in a lifetime trip (i mean, c'mon! how often does a person get to hold some of the most threatened species in Australia in their hands!) and i would do i all again in a heartbeat, but....bed sounds amazing!! But, we made do with some serious nanna naps on the 6 hour bus ride home!

 

All in all, an amazing trip with the bestest, loudest and craziest cabin group. Wouldn't have done it any other way!

It's Official! ....Well Almost

So!
With the wonderful combined efforts of Anaconda and Knox Library lining my once dusty, decrepit moth ball ridden bank accounts with the monetary version of pine-o-clean spiffyness i now have, wait for it,

....
.....
......
MONEY!!

And by putting away around $250 a month into my new Goal Saver account....I OFFICIALLY WILL HAVE THE MONEY I NEED TO GO TO CALIFORNIA NEXT YEAR!!!!

All thats in my way now is the application through uni.

Short and Sweet

Oh how i do love you opp shops, you make life and ones obsession with impulse clothes buying oh so much more pleasureably cheaper! Here's to you:

Conclusions....

I have a favourite club! Bang is only a little bit amazing, best mix of music and people and really reaally easy to get to.....plus is in stumbling distance to a maccas ;D
Every time we go, best night is had! And so far its the only place ive found where people hi five, cheer and hug you when you start singing to alexis on fire xD
Also....train stations are way too much fun!!!!!!!!!!

Second conclusion, 
Started up a fitness regime because ive dediced that im not totally happy with my fitness. So thats changing

Third conclusion for now,
Feeling the indie scene recently. So! I think im going to start up some indie style clothing and the like, see how it goes,
Frankie shall be my bible xD  

Money, job, money, JOB!

Started my new job at Anaconda the other day. It's pretty funky working in a giant outdoorsie camping store!
But all the new snow season gear is making me reaaaallllyyyy want to go to the snow....and discovering staff get free rental realllllyyyyyy reeeeaaaallllyyyyyyyy makes me want to go :P
BUT i must be good!
Save my hard earn dollars standing at a register right in the doorway where we get continually blasted by the cold (ps. Melbourne Weather....you're doing it wrong, cheers.) to go on my study abroad to california!


I WILL GET THERE!!!

On inspiration from many of my closest beauties, i've started up this little record of my ramblings, shamblings and general shenanagins that create the glorious concoction that is my life.
